Industrial Precipitators
Precipitation is recommended for collection of liquid
pollutants, particularly when they exist as submicron "mists" , "fogs"
, or thermal smokes, and few solids must be collected. Thiel precipitators excel at collection of the submicron pollutants
that cause visible opacity.
They utilize low voltage two-stage Penny type designs, and operate
with low collecting voltages at safe, low energy levels.

Plant Precipitators are useful for indoor
ducted and unducted cleaning of any loading (extremely light to very heavy)
of liquid smoke and fog from factory air. They can also collect low concentrations
of submicron solids.
Process Precipitators are usually selected
to control emissions of oil mists and submicron liquid smoke in air exhausted
outside from hot processes.
Wet Precipitators can dependably collect organic
smoke despite the presence of water mist, steam and even submicron solid
particles. Thiel Wet Precipitators operate far more dependably than
do any other electrostatic collector.
Xtended Performance
precipitators greatly reduce the need for collector maintenance
in all those applications where liquid, fog, or smoke being collected is semi-conductive in character. This allows
Thiel precipitators to be used for many applications where other electrostatic
collectors are not practical.
The ultra fine particle collection efficiency of Thiel
precipitators is so high that the opacity of visibly polluted air is often
completely eliminated.
Since 1972, Thiel-designed Condensing-Precipitator
and Condensing-Filter systems have been the most efficient and most
cost-effective choice to clean many hot process exhausts. They
condense hot vaporized polluttants into submicron aerosol smoke which can
be filtered or precipitated.
Condensing-collector systems excel at both control
of organic contaminants and at collection of submicron particulates.
They usually deliver a clear exhaust (nearly zero opacity), having most
of the odorous contaminants removed.
